This fine British weather sure knows how to challenge me, one minute it’s raining, one minute it’s sunny and the next it’s sticky, muggy and humid with a hint of wet all rolled into one. Summer time dressing has never been my forte, but this feels like dressing for all four seasons at once!
Today, I’m sharing my love for chambray as part of the Passion for Fashion link up. For me, chambray is part of my basic wardrobe as it’s so versatile. However, this shirt has been tucked away as a basic in my autumn/winter wardrobe, until a guest post on Lena B Actually inspired me. Sue’s Chambray 3 Ways made me reach for my shirt… and Pinterest.
I absolutely adore the mixture of chambray with monochrome, be it stripes or polka dots! I can’t believe I didn’t think to wear this shirt in summer. For a cinema date with the boy, I’m mixing chambray with monochrome and a splash of yellow.

When I saw a chambray shirt knotted, it reminded me of hot summer days at primary school. You know, when you tucked the tails of your shirt through the neck and a 90s crop top was born? I decided to go for it anyway and I’m glad I did. It’s the ideal alternative to the denim jacket, which can sometimes seem, dare I say it, too young for me!
I’m having a real shoe crisis right now. Nothing seems to match! At the moment, I’m coveting these bad boy clogs (oh, and these) from Lotta from Stockholm, for my summer holidays. I need a pair of shoes that are going to be comfortable for walking during our upcoming city break, match absolutely everything and, most importantly, be affordable. Asking too much?
As always, much love,
