Golden Time :: What I Wore

Last Saturday, we awoke to the Lancashire sun shining brightly on Burnley. The air was fresh, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky…it was perfect photography weather. So the boy and I decided to go for a morning stroll to clear the cobwebs away from yet another stressful week. My weeks are getting busier and busier at work, time alone just walking and talking with the boy was just what I needed.

Over here, the seasons are soon changing. Even the sunlight is different, golden and bright. It’s beautiful to watch.  With each new season comes a new range of clothes. Every year, I have to fight to resist my autumnal urge to buy knitwear. With my wardrobe bursting at the seams, I’ve been a good girl and bought boots…so far. Usually, I buy leather boots. Boots of quality and durability, however this year I can’t afford to buy expensive boots. Especially when I don’t need them (did I really just admit that?)
These cut out beauties are from Primark.

I’m sure you’ll agree, they look a lot more expensive than their £20 price tag. I adore the gold detailing on the back of the heel. With cut out details, they’re a great way to update my wardrobe without spending a fortune. Whilst I’ll always maintain, buy the best quality you can reasonably afford, the quality of these boots exceeds their price tag. They feel so durable. I can’t wait to test them out properly.

Although life may be stressful, I’m looking ahead to late October when I’ll be treading the streets of Berlin once again. Enjoying a few days of down time of photography and writing. Expect pictures of abandoned theme parks and blog posts filled with street art.

What are you wearing this autumn?
Do you invest in expensive boots or buy fashion boots?

As always, much love,
Donna x (Currently going cold turkey on the knits)
