What I Wore :: Ruby Red Shoes and Scalloped Edges

This year, one of my Blogolutions is to dedicate more posts to my personal style. Like most, I spend too much time dressing for work and not enough time dressing for myself. So, when the weekend rolls around, I like to pull out my dresses and dress for me, not for function nor practicality. This year, I’m going to try and photograph so many more outfits!
For so long, I’ve had this scalloped edged blouse in my wardrobe. I bought it on a whim, from Primark, years ago. I just adore scalloped detailing. For months, I’ve been looking for a pinafore dress to match it, so when the I found this pinafore dress for £25 in the Urban Outfitters sale, I knew it was just what I looking for.
In my opinion, Urban Outfitters have had one of the best sales this year. They reduced most of their ranges by 50% and today, some items have been reduced by 75%! I absolutely adore this velvet doll coat, but I determined to be more responsible with money this year. Reduced to £30 from £125, it won’t be around for long.
As you know, I spent New Year in Llandrindod Wells, Wales. On New Year’s day, we strolled through the town despite every shop being closed and the driving wind and rain. Thinking all hope was lost for an outfit post, we stumbled upon their charming station. With vintage typography and Victorian ironwork, it offered a break from the wind and rain in the prettiest of settings.
// Dress :: Cooperative at Urban Outfitters (similar here for £15) // Blouse :: Primark (Old) // Satchel :: Primark // Geek shoes :: Primark // Umbrella :: Primark //

Even though this paisley smock pinafore is from Urban Outfitters, you’ll notice that the rest of  my outfit is entirely from Primark and probably cost under £25. I love finding one piece to tie a whole outfit together, especially for a bargain price!

I had planned to wear my aubergine fedora with this outfit, but it was just too windy!
Have you found any bargains in the sale?
As always, much love,
