Have you ever wished to step inside another blogger’s wardrobe? I certainly have. Years ago, before I started blogging, I stumbled upon Rachel’s blog, Rachel the Hat. I marvelled at our similar taste and the amount of dresses we had in common. Nicknaming her ‘dress twin’, we started chatting on Instagram and Twitter. Fast forward a couple of years, our taste may be changing, but I’m finally getting the chance to play dress up in her wardrobe.
As part of Frock Swap UK, Rachel, Erica, Debbie and I will breathe new life into each of our wardrobes as we swap togs. With 62 days of the 100 Day Spending Ban notched off, I can proudly say that Frock Swap has definitely made our plight easier. Call me crazy, but maybe this is easier than I thought? On Wednesday, I received my first parcel from Rachel. How could I forget this beautiful floral ASOS dress that Rachel featured last summer?
It’s simply perfect. A Bohemian hotspotch of romantic rose prints, ditsy florals and paisley…this dress has girly stamped all over. I received it on Wednesday and had planned my outfit by Wednesday evening. I just couldn’t wait to wear it. You see, it’s so versatile. Firstly, I teamed it with a denim shirt and a long chunky knit cardigan for a casual look. Alternatively, I was toyed with adding a fine knit cropped jumper. Knowing that I’d be wearing it with John for our cinema date, I wanted to add to the prettiness.
So I layered it with a scalloped blouse. Tres girly. It’s so easy to play on the feminine print. I wanted to emphasize the Bohemian feel and these Chelsea boots hadn’t seen the light of day since I bought them in early January. They were £7 in the F&F sale, but they did have hideous tassels hanging from them. Needless to say, they have been modified. Modified with a large pair of scissors. Adding a burgundy fedora, I just needed a field of long grass to run through.
