Ooh, isn’t this four day weekend rather exciting? Time off with family and friends is enough to make anyone a giddy kipper. Especially with a splash of sunshine being thrown into the bargain too! I’ve spent the start of this weekend trying to get some school work out of the way ready for my return next week. I have an exciting evening planned for tomorrow (more on that next week, eek!) and maybe a day out on Monday. If you’re looking for a day out, why not visit the small market town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire? The boy and I visited last Sunday and had such a lovely day!
There are so many reasons to love Hebden Bridge. You’ll find no chain stores here. Instead, you’ll find a town bursting with an eclectic mix of quirky independent shops; book shops, record shops, vintage shops, charity shops, comic shops, kitchen shops, sweet shops and so much more. If that’s not enough, its scenic backdrops coupled with quaint Yorkshire stone buildings make this a visual feast for the eyes.
If you visit on Easter Monday, you’ll be in town for Duckmania, a rubber duck race all in the name of charity. With entertainment, charity stalls and live music, you’ll be spoiled rotten.
