Here in the UK, autumn is back and I couldn’t be any more pleased about it! Waking up to foggy mornings and ending the day bathed in warm beams of sunlight is the perfect weather for the start of autumn! In my excitement for my favourite season, I’ve packed my summer dresses away and have started to wear more of my thrifted finds, much-loved blouses and just a sprinkle of brand new clothes.

I thrifted so many autumn/winter pieces during late summer, but it’s only now that I can really start to take enjoyment in wearing them. Could I be the only person longing for cooler weather? This is the second coat I purchased this summer, a Marks and Spencers Per Una suede coat that I found in Ormskirk’s Barnardos store. It was £5.79 and fit like a glove, I almost left the shop without it but I knew I’d regret it later.
I’ve always been a fan of layering, but I feel like I’ve developed an obsession with pinafore style dresses: this season, I’ve acquired THREE! Although not technically a pinafore, this New Look tunic was gifted to me and is the most perfect addition to my autumn wardrobe. First of all, I didn’t have to buy anything extra to build the outfit. Secondly, it’s petite and did I mention it’s now only £7 in the sale? Bargain.
This is the outfit I chose to wear for my fashion work with The Mall. I’ve briefly mentioned the experience on social media and there will be a blog post all about it to follow shortly, but I still can’t believe that I presented a fashion workshop to a live audience!
